That is correct, Wii is here. We got one from Costco today! And another one from Fry's... And also I ordered another bundle 2 days ago from Curcuit City online... Yea... I guess we'll have to return the extra TWO Wii's that we have. Unless anyone wants to buy it from us personally.
Now, for the review... The Wii is awesome! If you haven't experienced it, then you have to! Go play with a friend's Wii, find a store that displays them, SOMETHING! Or, just buy one. I have not regreted it, but I've only had it for one day.
We bought a new Linksys router. It works much better than our old Netgear. Actually, I won't be too down on Netgear because it's worked well for the most part for 3 years, but recently it's performance has gone downhill. I attribute this to Comcast changing up something on their end. I am getting tons of ARP packets from comcast, and I think my Netgear router was being slowed down by it(somehow). However, when I plugin my laptop directly to the cable modem, I didn't experience the slow down. So, we decided to try a different router. We bought another Netgear(newer one, obivously), and it TOO had the same problem, this was very unexpected. We went back and bought a Linksys instead, and it solved the problem. I am glad that this is taken care of. Hopefully this will also improve the speed of this wiki for our readers.
I coded my TextSync application using QuickTime for Java a while ago, and I found that about a week or so ago that it ceased to work!!! Why? I asked. I finally had some time to fix the problem today. After a lot of digging and experimentation, it turns out that the newest version of QuickTime removed the QTJava.dll that is required for the thing to work. Why would Apple do that??? These people are mean!!! Luckily, I was able to revert to an older version of quicktime from
oldversion.com which fixed everything. Ohhh..., that Steve Jobs...
